# Does the singularity already exist

It is unclear what happens when the [singularity](./superintelligence) emerges. The world as we know it could drastically change or there could be no significant changes to our everyday life. There is also a chance that we would not even notice when the singularity emerges. If this is the case it could also be that the emergence of the superintelligence has already happend.
