# The meaning of life in a solved world

The question is what could be the meaning of life in a hypothetical world where every problem is solved by a [superintelligence](../../../topics/ai/singularity/superintelligence.md). In such a world many tasks might seam pointless because the superintelligence could achieve them without any effort.

Competing goals from different individuals or even within an individual can never be reached at once. Therefore there could be always goals to strive for. This requires a [diverse world](../../../goals/society/collaboration/increase-diversity.md) with many individuals with different goals.
