# Having an open platform for collective thinking

This goal is that the public has access to an [platform that makes it possible to develop thoughts ideas and plans collectively](../../../topics/data/knowledge/open-forum-for-collective-thinking.md). It should be an online forum in which individuals can cooperate to build an network of interconnected text elements that together represent the process of thinking. It should enable multiple individuals to actively be part of a higher form of intelligence and come to conclusions which can not be achieved in a single human mind. This process of collective thinking should be as transparent as possible. Even if a single person could not understand the entirety of the thoughts that are stored in this forum, he should at least be able to understand the different steps of the thought process and focus on specific aspects. The whole system should be completely transparent and based on open data and open source software. This should ensure that nobody can abuse this system and manipulate the results of the collective thinking. It should be decentralized and open for everybody. This should ensure that there is no central entity that can restrict the access to the platform or shut down the service.

The benefit of this platform could be that people can find solutions for complex problems in a way that everybody is included in this process. It cold be an opportunity for individuals to formulate their goals and find others with similar goals so they can work together to find ways to archive these goals. The platform could also serve as an knowledge base for knowledge of all kind.
